Hellfire Harlots To Collect Donations for Local Food Bank

Within Nottingham there are families struggling to put food on the table. For people on low incomes, a sudden crisis such as redundancy, benefit delay or even an unexpected bill can mean going hungry. We hear of parents skipping meals to feed their children and people who have to choose between paying the rent and eating.

We are a community-minded sports team and we want to help.

Hope Food Bank is a local charity which is part of the Trussell Trust’s UK-wide food bank network. The Trussell Trust helps communities to open food banks enabling them to provide emergency food to thousands of people nationwide every year.

How can we all help?

Hope Food bank runs on donations of non-perishable food donated by members of the public which is then sorted into emergency food parcels. To make sure that those that are in desperate need do get the help they need food bank vouchers are given to people that are in crisis from front line professionals such as doctors and social workers. These vouchers are then exchanged for food parcels that last for three days.

To help, we are collecting food at each of our home bouts this year and we really hope you’ll join us in supporting this worthy, and local cause.
